Items represent most of the content on a Deme site. Click on each item type to learn more.
Custom URLs let you create a path to an item.
For example, to have http://www.yoursite.com/about/ point to an HTML document named "About Page", set:
- Item name to "About Page URL"
- Viewer to "htmldocument"
- Action to "show"
- Aliased item to the About Page item
- Parent URL to your base Site item
- Path to "about"
To set up http://www.yoursite.com/about/team, you'd set Parent URL to the Custom URL for the about page, to the "About Page URL" item.See all custom URLs
A Django template document can be used to affect the website's entire layout.
By default, Deme uses Bootstrap to layout the page. For example, to have content in two columns, enter "<div class='row'><div class='col-sm-6'>First Column</div><div class='col-sm-6'>Second Column</div></div>". Learn more from the Bootstrap docs.
