Okay, everything is working as I expected it to. We still have some
work to do designing the exact text in the notification emails (for
example, all of them should have something at the bottom about how to
send messages to the "list", perhaps how to unsubscribe, etc), and of
course we have work to do in the web interface for comments and
subscriptions.

But before we get into that, are we all happy with the current
functionality in terms of email list options and behavior?
