I know it's good to keep things simple, but I'm just going to enumerate some other possible fields and their purposes that I can see as being useful. I don't think we should make it this complicated, but I'm just thinking out loud.
* Context (where I can complete the task, e.g. home/work/errands/commute)
* Repeat (some tasks are recurring, like having to write a report once a week, not necessarily a calendar event)
* Length (time estimate)
* Star (maybe more of a UI thing, like gmail/toodledo)
* Start time
* Bug Status (new/assigned/resolved/closed/reviewed)
* GTD status (see http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php?sel=66 for examples)
* Dependencies
* Attachments
