User Study Proposal

Preparation:
Todd, Noam, and I will agree on two designs for what we would like the interface to be.
I will create paper prototypes with the two designs.
For this user study I am planning on recruiting 4 or 5 participants from my dorm. I will offer them cookies (or money).
I will write up a script to be approved by Todd and Noam that will have different situations a user might use the project manager for. Some of the situations may be more novel than others.
Should we have different scripts for each interface?

Testing:
The participant and I will go through the set script with both interfaces separately. I will ask them to talk me through what goes through their head as they're interacting with the prototype.
After the script has been gone through twice I will ask them to fill out a survey to tell us what they liked and disliked about both designs and compare them.
Should I ask them this orally instead to get more out of the conversation?

I will debrief them on what the study was about and give them cookies or money.
